Google's New Project- Soli

"Your hands are the only interface you'll need"- Google

Soli is the new touchless radar-based sensing technology by Google. It is a small chip which may integrate in the future phones to make it touchless.

There was a time when you use buttons to use your phones. Then an era of touchscreen came. Now the future era may be based on Google's Soli where you can give the command to your phone just by creating a sensation in the air and this radar-based sensor will detect your motion.

Soli tracks and recognizes dynamic gestures expressed by fine motions of the fingers and hand. This tool is based on the virtual tool gesture. You can press it by tapping your fingers together. Rub your thumb against your index finger to turn on the virtual dial. Slide your thumb over your index finger to slide the stuff. This kind of interactions is being developed by GoogleThis chip is smaller than a 1 Rupee coin. Indeed it is ultra-compact 8mm x 10mm. Sensor and antenna are incorporated within it.
Soli sensor technology works on electromagnetic waves in a broad beam. Objects within the beam scatter this energy, reflecting some portion back towards the radar antenna. The reflected signal, such as energy, frequency, and time delay capture rich information about the object's characteristics and dynamics, shape, size, and orientation. Soli chip can be integrated into IoT devices, computers, cars, smartwatches and of course in smartphones.

We may see the integration of Soli Sensor in Google's upcoming flagship smartphone- Google Pixel 4 XL

"I have just explained the upcoming sensor by Google i.e. Soli- a radar-based sensor in very simple language. Hope you guys understand it clearly."

Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, X50 and 5G compatibility

Snapdragon 845's elder sibling will be based on 7nm

Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is the flagship chipset based on 10nm but its successor is set to release with the 7nm process.

Qualcomm is working on its next premium mobile chipset that will probably be called as Snapdragon 855. Although, the Qualcomm has not yet confirmed the name of its next flagship chipset but it has confirmed that it will be based on 7nm process while its predecessor, 845, is based on 10nm.
Snapdragon 855

Power Efficient

The 7nm process will allow the chipset to boost 20-30 percent performance and become more energy efficient than Snapdragon 845. Snapdragon 845 offers the GPU Adreno 630 whereas the upcoming 855 SoC will have Adreno 640 which will boost 20 percent performance with 30 percent reduction in power consumption.

5G Compatible

This year everyone talks about the 5G connectivity. So the wait is about to end. As the Snapdragon 855 comes with 5g compatibility. The 7nm SoC will be paired with the Snapdragon X50 modem. This will be the first 5G-capable mobile platform for premium range smartphones.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

As far as AI matters, both Snapdragon 845 and Snapdragon 855 are Al-powered. This will use Al noise cancellation to block all the unnecessary sound around you. Suppose you get a call in a crowded place, this AI noise cancellation will help you by blocking all the ambient noise so that the recipient can hear your voice easily. The Google Assistant and the Alexa, the two voice assistants, may be embedded in the Snapdragon 855 with voice wake up command.

Advance Portrait-mode

Today every smartphone company is offering dual cameras in which one is primarily for photo shooting and the second one is used for portrait mode where the background gets blurred. The new SoC will allow you to record 4K videos with live portrait mode.

Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner

We all have heard about the in-display fingerprint scanner which is optical but now the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 offers 3D sonic sensor which is world's first under display Ultrasonic Fingerprint which is quite faster, more accurate and can also work under the water. Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung's next flagship phone: Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung has a bunch of flagship smartphone from Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S9 plus, including Note 8 and Note 9. Once again a most awaiting package of Samsung is soon entering in the flagship as Samsung Galaxy S10. This will be the absolute update of Samsung Galaxy S9.
Samsung Galaxy S10

Launching of Samsung Galaxy S10:

The launch of Samsung Galaxy S10 is not far off. We can expect the hint in 'Mobile World Congress (MWC)' 2019 which is going to be held from 25th to 28th in the month of February in Barcelona. As Samsung announced Galaxy S9 at MWC 2018, so we expect the clue in MWC 2019. Samsung may launch its flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S10, in early 2019.

The flagship will be very expensive but obviously cheaper than iPhone XS max😁. Samsung may price S10 somewhere between $900 and $1000. But when it goes on sale, you will not able to buy it straight away.  Samsung may launch three models of Samsung Galaxy S10 as S10, S10 mini and S10 plus.

Design and Display:

Samsung announced three notch display in 'Samsung Developer Conference' held from 6th to 7th November, namely, infinity u, infinity v and infinity o. There is a higher chance of Galaxy S10 to come with infinity o display where the camera is placed. It may be in 19:9 aspect ratio whereas Samsung Galaxy S9 is in 18:5:9 ratio configuration.
Infinity O display
Samsung teased another phone name as Galaxy A8s which is bezel and notch free, hinted that S10 will have a hole for the camera.

This time too Samsung will not remove the Bixby button or higher chance of not changing the configuration. Samsung Galaxy S10 may have triple camera setup, previously seen on Galaxy A7 (2018) and double front facing camera.
S10 Triple Camera
It will be Samsung's first phone with in-display fingerprint sensor which is based on ultrasonic where the whole screen will work as a fingerprint sensor which also works under the water. Samsung is not the first company to use in-display fingerprint sensor, 'Vivo' and 'One plus' already used it in their smartphones.

Software and UI:

Samsung Galaxy S10 will come with 'Android Pie' with the skin of Samsung's forthcoming user interface(UI) that is 'One UI'. This is not the first time Samsung switched to new UI previously it shift to Samsung Experience UI from TouchWiz.
Samsung One UI
Samsung unveiled its first foldable phone name as Samsung Galaxy F with One UI in 'Samsung Developer Conference'. UI. The foldable is absolutely a big move from Samsung but it has thick bezels. Will you buy a phone with thick bezels?

What's inside Galaxy S10?

High probably Samsung will launch its Galaxy S10 with its new flagship chipset, Exynos 9810, or may launch with Snapdragon 855. It may come with 6GB and 8GB RAM variant. What about storage? S10 may launch with a minimum of 128GB of storage option which goes up to 512 GB. This time Samsung focuses on battery too. You will see an improved battery in the new flagship.

Conclusion:

Samsung will beat all its competitor in the premium segment. Soon after launching it will become flagship king. What makes it interesting?
  • A whole new premium design. It is truly bezel-less.
  • A new and user-friendly UI which is based on artificial intelligence (AI) which will ease your work.
  • You will also an improvement in biometrics. Fastest fingerprint scanner with improved 3D face recognition. Samsung will remove iris scanner to make it larger than Samsung Galaxy S9.

Is it worth to wait till launch?

Yes, of course, it is worth to wait until launch. Probably Samsung will tease Samsung Galaxy S10 in MWC 2019. If it is then Samsung will launch it in early 2019. So wait to experience new 'One UI'.

"I just explained the feature that Samsung Galaxy S10 may have when it launch. Don't forget to share, comment and subscribe.
